Could not update task status / Error

  1. last year

When trying to upload our first image to our clonedeploy server we are getting the message "Could not update task status". We are using the USB boot option, added our computer over USB, assigned the image name to the computer then chose upload image. We are able to put in our credentials but then get the error. I have looked the website over for information on this but have found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Chris

Have you tried canceling the task and starting it again?

  3. I have, one computer was directly attached to a mini switch with the server. We have also tried across the domain with two others computers. Both of these get the same error.

Is there anything in the exceptions log or the upload log for that machine?

  5. I did see something in the exceptions log in regards to the path of the image. Which through the webapp the image name was created and associated to the computer. But, the image will not upload due to the error message "could not update task status"

What I can tell from these logs:
A computer with a mac of 14:58:d0:07:2e:74 successfully found a task but failed to mount the SMB share to upload the image. You can troubleshoot smb with this guide.
    http://clonedeploy.org/docs/smb-troubleshooting/

Then a computer with a mac of f0:92:1c:5c:55:e8 tried to upload but failed because the computer was not found. It appears this computer has not been added to CloneDeploy, you can search in the webui->Computers->Search, enter that mac address and see if anything is found
