Issues getting to web interface

  1. 2 years ago

So I've installed the software but I can't get to the web interface at all.

My password contains a special character but I've tried reinstalling with a simplified password but that hasn't worked.

    I'm currently on Windows 10 x64.

Any Advice would be much appreciated.

Here is my log file from the initial installation:

Anyone else running into my issue I was able to resolve it by entering the following command into an elevated prompt:
    "dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:IIS-ASPNET45"

    The last line:
powershell -command "enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-aspnet45 -norestart;"
    Was the culprit.

Not sure if it's just my system but the web interface is now able to load.

According to your log this command failed for some reason. Try running it from an elevated cmd prompt.

    powershell -command "enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-webserverrole -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-webserver -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-isapifilter -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-isapiextensions -norestart; enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename netfx4extended-aspnet45 -norestart; enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-netfxextensibility45 -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-aspnet45 -norestart;"
  3. Thank you so much for the assistance!

I tried running as admin and this is the output I'm getting and it's still not allowing me to access the web interface. I can see the server service is running and I can see that the website has been installed I just can't hit it from chrome or IE. Is there anything I would need to modify to force those powershell commands to execute?

You copy and pasted the command above, or you ran the installer again? Just run that command.

  5. I ran that command and this is the powershell error it is giving me.

I guess that is why the install failed. Not sure why you are getting that error. Those are standard Win10 powershell commands and should run fine. Maybe try updating .net to the latest version.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure it will prove useful for other users. Nothing is ever easy.

If anyone else comes across this can you try running this command instead of the accepted solution.

    powershell -command "enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-webserverrole -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-webserver -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-isapifilter -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-isapiextensions -norestart; enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename netfx4extended-aspnet45 -norestart; enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-netfxextensibility45 -norestart;enable-windowsoptionalfeature -online -featurename iis-aspnet45 -all -norestart;"

It simply adds the -all parameter. If it works I'll update the installer with the changes.
