Deploying OSX on PC fails: efibootmgr: EFI variables are not supported on this system.

  1. last year
    1. Net-booted from a Mac Mini into linux environment (3913).
    2. Uploaded image.
    3. Net-booted from a NUC into linux environment using UEFI.
    4. Deployment went through download, sync, and then finally failed on:
efibootmgr: EFI variables are not supported on this system.

Seems like a minor issue, any idea how to fix it?

Is it even possible to boot OSX on a PC? Anyway, it's not going to work. CloneDeploy cannot clone a Mac to a PC. Technically the data is there, but there is no way to make it boot.

  2. I should mention that deploying Win10 image and Ubuntu image worked flawlessly on the same NUC.

  3. Log attached.

  4. clonedeploy
