Just mount it on your filesystem and update the distribution point physical path.

Is the new location local to your CloneDeploy server or is it on a different server?

  5. local. os is on a small ssd. storage is on a raid 1

That should be easy. There is no guide because when you install on Linux the guide basically already shows what to do. These are the commands during install that setup the storage.

    mkdir -p /cd_dp/images
    mkdir /cd_dp/resources
    chown -R www-data:www-data /cd_dp
    chown -R www-data:cdsharewriters /cd_dp
    chmod -R 2775 /cd_dp

Just change /cd_dp to your new location
Then in /etc/samba/smb.conf change the path to your new location
In webui distribution points change the physical path to your new location

  7. thanks for the reply. what if i were to copy over the cd_dp folder. permissions should copy too. go back and update the distribution point and the smb.conf.
i know i need to edit the fstab to mount at boot. system mounted should be fine, right?

That all should work, permissions may or may not copy depending on how you copy, but easy enough to change later if they don't.
