Cannot Mount SMB Share

  1. 2 years ago

I am unable to upload my image because it error out when trying to mount SMB share. I have added the usernames and password to my local windows users and set them to have full control of the whole CloneDeploy folder. Am I missing something here?? Do I need to add the accounts to my workstation also?

    program files\clonedeploy\cd_dp

It should have been created, probably all relates back to the special character issue.

Did you verify that your distribution point passwords match your windows users?

  3. I did, even created a new set of users again.

Can you connect to the share from another Windows machine with those users?

  5. I only have the users locally on the server. Should they be within my domain?

No, they should be local, more secure. It doesn't matter if they are local, you can still pass in their credentials. Just map a drive and specify different credentials, if it doesn't work, the share isn't setup right.

  7. Ok, it is not finding the share when I put in \\servername\cd_share

Is the folder for the share somewhere on the hard drive? If so where so I can see how it is set up.
I never set up any share, was I supposed to? I figured the system would do it for me.

  9. So I have that folder but it is not shared out. Should I manually share it out and then have the share name be cd_share?
