Proxy Service not functioning

  • Attempting to netboot a 10.13. We have a DHCP Proxy running on a different machine than my Clonedeploy server which has the dhcp service enabled. Everything seems to have been set up properly. I can even see and select my netboot drive on the mac. It attempts to load but it doesn't progress any further. I took a screen shot of the error msg from the logs.
    cd server:192.168.1.10
    dhcp proxy: 192.168.1.20

    Thanks in advance!

  • Since you are getting the menu, that means the proxy is functioning correctly. There is probably something wrong with your paths. Did you put the neboot.dmg file in the public folder? You might need to update the apple-root-path in your proxy config.

    apple-root-path=http://[server-ip-here]/clonedeploy/public/macos_nbis/[nbi_id]/NetBoot.dmg

    should be

    apple-root-path=http://[server-ip-here]/clonedeploy/api/public/macos_nbis/[nbi_id]/NetBoot.dmg

    note the /api/ was added.

  • @clonedeploy_admin Thanks for the reply.
I'm now able to netboot and login. However when I attempt to "Upload" or "Deploy" an image I get an error msg saying that the "Could not mount SMB Share and Server is not Clustered"

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

I've read the documentation on the site but it seems to refer to Windows installations. Are there any suggestions for mac?
